The Science of Inorganic Coordination and Solid State Chemistry
The Science of Inorganic Coordination and Solid State ChemistryDescribing inorganic coordination and solid state chemistry is a difficult task because the words make no sense and you can never be too sure what someone means. If you are trying to describe a new chemical in the lab or talk about a new piece of equipment, it helps to have a clear idea of the science and terminology of the discipline. Even the most educated chemist may find it difficult to explain the theory of physics or what hydrogen is.A number of factors come into play when you attempt to describe an object or chemical concept in a way that is accurate and readable to others. You have the facts of the subject, which includes structure, physical properties, and bonds that bind the atoms, a description of the structure, chemistry and physics of the object you are describing, the important features of the physics, the relationships between the facts and the description, and finally the appearance of the substance in the laboratory or the classroom. The facts are essential, because the appearance of a substance or atom in a light sensitive sample can often lead to a better and more effective description. In a lab environment or classroom, a properly designed apparatus provides a great deal of accuracy in describing the properties of the materials involved. In the laboratory, the appropriate chemistry or physics learning workbook provides detailed descriptions of all experimental steps, including the specific compositions, concentration and specific structure. To give a brief description of an important concept, the reader needs to know the general physics of the universe and how it relates to the real world context. It is also important to understand how the concepts of structure, bonding, etc. work.Knowing these three areas of knowledge is essential to any good scientist. Understanding and using these three aspects of a substance is a must in any chemist or scientist.Describing inorganic coordinatio n and solid state chemistry in this way gives much more information and allows the reader to experience the subject much more fully. Once again, the science is basic, but it helps to have a working knowledge of basic terminology to put the science into proper perspective. It is easy to remember the three areas of science with the three types of efficient terms. Describing inorganic coordination and solid state chemistry becomes a lot easier once you know the concepts.

Online Undefined Slope Tutors
Online Undefined Slope Tutors On an X-Y coordinate plane, when the points are written in the coordinate form of (x, y), then the slope of the line joining any two points can be found out since the slope of a line is the change in the y-coordinates to the change in the x-coordinates. This definition of slope is also popularly known as rise over run. Now, if change in the x-coordinates is 0, then we get an undefined slope since the denominator goes to 0. Example 1: Calculate the slope of the line joining the points (3, 5) and (3, 9) in the X-Y coordinate plane. Given two points: (3, 5) and (3, 9). Slope of a line joining the two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is given as: Slope, m = (y2 y1)/ (x2 x1) This gives: m = (9 5)/ (3 3) == m = 4/0 Now we get, 0in the denominator and anything divided by 0 is infinity. Therefore we get an undefined slope and the line is a vertical line of equation x = 3. Example 2: Calculate the slope of the line joining the points (-2, 4) and (-2, 7) in the X-Y coordinate plane. Given two points: (-2, 4) and (-2, 7). Slope of a line joining the two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is given as: Slope, m = (y2 y1)/ (x2 x1) This gives: m = (7 - 4)/ (-2 (-2)) == m = 3/0 Now we get, 0 in the denominator and anything divided by 0 is infinity. Therefore the line has an undefined slope and the graph is a vertical line of equation x = -2.

Algebra 1 Review
Algebra 1 Review Algebra is a branch of Mathematics in which symbols, usually letters of the English alphabet are written along with the numbers to represent an arithmetic expression or equation depicting a relation. Algebra 1- Review provides a very effective tool in solving mathematical problems by representing unknown quantities in the form of a symbol or letter of the English alphabet(x, y, z etc.). There can be one or more unknowns in an equation, but each unknown is represented by a different letter. An algebraic expression has a collection of numbers and letters separated by the +, -, x or operators. If the highest exponent on the variable in the algebraic equation is 1 it is said to be linear equation. Example: Solve 4x + 7 = 11 Solution: - Equation is:- 4x + 7 = 11 In this equation now to find the value of x, first we have to subtract 7 from both sides, So, 4x + 7- 7 = 11- 7 4x + 0 = 4 4x = 4 Now in the last step to find the value of x, we have to divide both sides of the equation by 4 Therefore, 4x/4 = 4/4 x = 1 So x =1 is the solution of the above equation. Example 2:- Solve 2x + 5 = 25 Solution 2:- Equation is 2x + 5 = 25 Similarly in the above equation we need to subtract 5 from both sides of the equation and then we have to divide by 2. 2x + 5 = 25 2x + 5- 5 = 25-5 2x = 20 x = 10. So x =10 is the solution of the above equation.

Of course, you need to be fit, determined, and dedicated to becoming a professional boxer.Starting Boxing from a Young AgeJust like with becoming a musician, itâs a good idea to start boxing when youâre young. Like with anything else, the younger you start, the better you'll be. However, very young children won't be able to do everything involved in boxing. (Source: diowcnx)Take the example of French boxer Dylan Charrat. He started boxing at the age of 12. In 2011, he was called up to the French junior team. By the time he was 20, heâd gone pro and had 11 victories, two by knockout. He became the 5th best light middleweight in France. One day he hopes to fight the grand champion in his category, Floyd Mayweather. In July 2019, he won his first EBU belt and the European light-middleweight champion against Howard Cospolite. Heâs unbeaten in 18 fights.Climbing the Ladder in an International FederationProfessional boxers need to be licensed by a federation. There are many of them: EUBC, EBU, WBA, IBF, WBC, WBO, IWBF, IBA, WPBF, GBU, AIBA, APB, etc. In general, boxers will climb the ladder towards the title. (Source: tacofleur)Once a boxer has won a few local, regional, and national competitions, theyâll be able to affiliate with one of the big federations. This is where prestigious pro boxers earn the big bucks. However, at any moment, they can lose their title as they're regularly obliged to put it on the line.By organising big fights, this is how professional boxers earn their money, often with the help of a promoter. Generally, the idea is to climb the rankings, win belts, and maximise their earnings. Of course, the promoter also takes a piece of the pie. Itâs also in their interest for their boxer to do well and become famous... or infamous. The better a boxer does, such as going undefeated for a long time, the more theyâll get in sponsorship, publicity, pay per view money, and spectators. With an estimated fortune of $560m ( £437m), Floyd Mayweather is the highest-paid athlete in the world and boxing champions can m ake an absolute fortune in a very short boxing career.Need we say more? This is an amount that makes footballers like Messi, Ronaldo, and Neymar look poor! However, for most boxers, boxing is more about passion than money.Whether you'd like to do boxing, kickboxing, mixed martial arts, or any other combat sport, have a look on Superprof for the best tutors pound for pound. You can find tutors all around the country and all over the world and once you've found the right one, you can start your path towards becoming a professional boxer. Before you pick your private tutor, there are several things that you'll need to carefully think about. Firstly, no two tutors are alike and you need to pick the one that'll help you to get the most out of your training and set on you on the path to glory. Secondly, there are three main types of tutorial available from the tutors on Superprof, face-to-face tutorials, online tutorials, and group tutorials, and you need to pick the one that's right for you .Face-to-face tutorials are between you and your tutor or coach. They'll work alongside you, tailor the sessions to you and your goals, and give you their undivided attention. They'll often also work outside of your sessions on planning and preparing your training. Of course, all this extra work will come at a cost and while face-to-face tutorials are often the most cost-effective type of private tutorial, they also tend to be the most costly per hour.Online tutorials tend to be cheaper than face-to-face tutorials since the tutor doesn't have to travel to each of their students or clients and can schedule more tutorials per week. However, these types of tutorials tend to be much better for academic subjects than sports and while you could very easily get started with boxing through online tutorials, you may reach a stage where you'll need to have the tutor or coach there in the room with you. Finally, group tutorials have the coach teaching several clients at once. Unlike the other t wo types of tutoring, you won't have your coach's undivided attention. However, you will be dividing the cost of the tutor between yourself and the other attendees. Similarly, the tutor won't be able to tailor all their sessions to you. Much like online tutorials, group tutorials may be good for those just getting started with boxing, but once you have some serious goals and dreams of being a titleholder, you may require a bespoke and tailored service!
Learning to Sing The Truth Behind 4 Common Misconceptions
Learning to Sing The Truth Behind 4 Common Misconceptions Suzy S. Descartes once said, Im tone deaf, therefore Im hopeless. Wait, no, thats not right. But the debate is certainly real: Is there such a thing as being tone deaf? And if so, should the hopeless few bother with singing lessons if their dream is to one day perform on stage? Much like mastering any other skill, learning to sing comes with many common misconceptions from outsiders. So read on were about to debunk them! 1. Singing lessons are for people who cant sing. Think again! While professional training can definitely help students who dont have the natural talent people often refer to, you may find that youll see even more benefits if you already have a decent foundation. For one, a voice teacher will be able to hear (and see) things that you may not while youre focusing on your breathing or another aspect of your performance. The guidance youll receive can be incredibly valuable. Moreover, a great singing teacher can help you keep your focus and set realistic goals, and may even be able to open doors for you through networking, audition opportunities and more. 2. I can learn enough by watching YouTube videos about singing. Not so fast. YouTube definitely has some great tutorials, but similar to misconception #1, working with a professional will do wonders for your technique. Still learning proper breathing? Your teacher can point out where to place your hand to feel your breath. Preparing for an audition? A teacher can help you build your stage confidence. Without the individual feedback from a private teacher, students may end up with bad habits, or practice the same thing over and over with little progress. 3. I cant sing that song, because my range doesnt go that low/high. While you certainly dont want to strain your voice, the beauty of private singing lessons is that you can work with your teacher to extend your vocal range and prepare yourself to sing even more songs than before. Youll notice a difference with even simple changes, such as engaging in effective vocal warm-ups and recognizing your chest voice versus your head voice. 4.Im tone deaf theres no hope for me. Tone deafness (also called amusia) describes a persons inability to recognize relative pitches in music, and is the ultimate fear of many karaoke singers all across the world. But can it be corrected? Fortunately for you, vocal lessons can definitely help. Singing off-key often has more to do with poor vocal habits, which can be corrected with private lessons. For example, beginners might try to force a high note, which inevitably leads to falling out of key. Sometimes it even stems from something deeper, like feeling self-conscious about your tone. With proper training, even the most cynical of singers can begin to recognize notes and pitches. The more exposure you have, the easier it will become. Interested in Private Lessons? Daydreaming Child Development
Daydreaming Child Development Daydreamer. Curious. Lost in thought. Imaginative. If a teacher has used any or all of these descriptions when talking about your child, you probably want to know what you should do to nurture your childs inner intellect while still keeping him or her on task. After all, learning, exploring and being engaged with subject matter are important for any student, but so is the ability to see tasks through to completion. If your child has the tendency to think intently about various topicsbut not always the ones that are important for schoolwhat can you do? Here are a few tips to encourage your child to continue to build those thinking skills and get excited about learning, while staying productive: Give your child sufficient time. If you keep hoping that your child will just get things done faster, remember that each child has a different pace. Some children process what they learn by connecting what they read and learn to things they already know. They think, connect, contemplate and repeat. It may take more time, but be patient and trust that there is a method behind your childs approach that can be effective when paired with a good routine. Discuss the right and wrong times for mind wandering. Every child needs to understand that creativity coupled with critical thinking produces results. However, there is a time and a place for such activities. Talk with your child about teachers expectations in the classroom. In school and in the real world, your child is accountable for certain responsibilities. Make sure your child knows they has sufficient time in his or her schedule for free thought, but is also adept at how to manage a daily routine with deadlines and to-dos. Task orientation is valuable. Discipline is a critical part of school success. Teach your child that creativity and outside-the-box thinking are especially valuable when combined with the ability to move tasks forward. Help your child approach homework and projects in an organized, methodical way, breaking larger projects into smaller tasks, checking off assignments as completed and the like. Study skills and organization is a must. Encourage your child to embrace tools such as to-do lists and a planner (or planner app for the smartphone, if applicable). If your child suddenly has difficulty keeping track of homework, maintaining a neat study space, or making the most of each study session, he or she may need help establishing effective study and organizational habits. Pay attention to what motivates your child. Some children are creative as well as goal oriented. Others enjoy the brainstorming or planning process far more than sitting down to do work. Some children need stimulation by understanding the purpose or practical application of that which they learn. Knowing what your child enjoys (or doesnt) about the learning process is helpful information that you can use to stimulate your childs mind as you teach him or her valuable tools like organization and time management. Having a child who is curious and inquisitive is a huge advantage, but if your challenge is keeping your child on task and productive, remember that practice makes perfect. If your child needs support with this, call Huntington. We can assess your childs learning style and skills to determine what might help merge his or her passion for learning with strong, effective school habits. Five Tips to Prepare for Exams
Five Tips to Prepare for Exams Improving Academic Performance As you move into the end of a semester, the pressure of exams can daunt even the most successful students. Itâs a busy time of year in general, and the mounting strain of a large looming test can feel outright agonizing! Fear not. Here is a list of go-to tips to help you be your most prepared and confident self going into those final exams (or any tests, at any time!) Prioritize Prioritize and get your schedule in order. Which final gets first, as they say, dibs? It might be the one that gives you the most stress, your most challenging subject, or perhaps one that holds more weight on your final grade. Whatever the reason, pick an order of how you want to tackle each subject area and test. You might devote five hours to an algebra final and only two to an English one, or perhaps vice versa. Know yourself and set realistic goals for each individual exam. Get organized(click here for more tips from the New Yorker) Gather your materials and get them in a relatively neat and organized folder and space. Do you use tangible materials, like notebooks and flashcards? If so, get them in order. Know where they are. Have all necessary textbooks, novels, printouts, and websites readily available. Are you more techie and have it all compiled on your laptop or tablet? Have a folder on your device for each set of test notes. Pick a study space The area where we choose to study can have a great impact on our ability to concentrate and retain information. Where do you focus and study best? The library? Coffee shop? At home in your room? Pick a space that you know is conducive to concentration and staying on track. Perhaps a study partner helps you, someone to bounce ideas around with or to quiz you, and maybe you do your best alone. As an article from Edutopia states, if youâre introverted, certain personal choices will make learning a whole lot easier. You might need to choose the absolute quiet or invest in some of those noise-cancelling headphones. If youâre more extroverted and like the bustle of a study group, join one or form a crew of your own. Talk to your teacher/professor Got some last minute questions? Need some clarity on a certain formula, theme, or essay question? Donât be afraid to talk to the teacher. Bounce some of your ideas off of them. Engage in a dialogue about what you learned throughout the semester. Reflect on what youâve learned and also look ahead. Such conversations not only help clarify your queries, but they can also create a bit more peace of mind around a stressful time. (Just, you know, donât badger them - theyâre stressed, too!) Set goals and rewards Setting small goals for each study period and providing rewards at the end of both small and larger tasks creates motivation and inspiration. If you put in a solid two or three hours working through your science or history notes without huge interruptions to check social media, give yourself a nice reward, like a delicious (nutritious) snack or something indulgent for the weekend like a massage or a little shopping trip. Humans respond very well to the process of achieving something and being rewarded, so do a little experiment on yourself. That snack or massage or shopping item will feel far more satisfying if youâve sufficiently met a goal. Try it out! And the icing on the cake⦠If you take good care of yourself and practice these suggestions, things will fall into place, but always remember to put good self-care at the forefront of your overall recipe for success. Remember those things mom used to bug you about, like eating well and getting enough sleep? Well, they work! Stay hydrated and well-fed on nutritious snacks, avoid all-nighters, get some exercise and time outdoors, and perhaps try meditation or breathing exercises in order to keep the cortisol and adrenaline in your body to a healthy minimum. Most of all, have confidence in your ability to be successful. Best of luck, and remember - learning is fun! ?? 7 Internet Safety Tips You Need to Teach Your Children
?? 7 Internet Safety Tips You Need to Teach Your Children 7 Internet Safety Tips You Need to Teach Your Children Internet exposure amongst the young is at its peak. Now, it is almost impossible to keep childrenoffline thanks to the ease of access by phones, computers, tablets, games consoles, TVs and evenwatches. Unless children are separated from their peers and denied these devices, the internet iswithin armâs reach. The lesson for adults here is not to keep children away from the internet, which will likely causethem to rebel, but instead teach internet safety to ensure they are in a safe space online. This is theduty not only of parents, but of all adults that are responsible for children at some point, teachers, grandparents and so on.Here are seven internet safety lessons that are vital for children to know.1. Stranger DangerAn important lesson in life and online, stranger danger. Face-to-face strangers are an easier dangerto convey - if a child doesnât recognise a person they know to avoid them and get help. Online, however, there is the added dimension of anonymity. Anyone can be any one on the internet. As it isimpossible to avoid every stranger online, it is imperative that children are instead taught whatstranger behaviour to be wary of.Children are most likely to come across strangers on social media sites, messaging apps, chat rooms, email, internet-connected games. Parents can keep an eye on these channels and get their children to explain how they know each person they are in contact with online. Any red flags should beinvestigated and, if necessary, reported.Make sure they are also aware that who they are speaking to online may not be who they say theyare. Celebrity or child impersonators is not unheard of and is an easy way for someone dangerous toget in contact with children; gaining trust and possibly, an open door to groom a child.Children should be taught that if anyone online asks for a picture or to meet offline, they shouldalert an adult immediately.2. Donât Open Unknown LinksThis is something some adults are still guilty of, opening unknown lin ks. This isnât necessarilyreferring to pop up ad links or spam emails (although these should be avoided too) but links fromfriends on social media platforms that may also be unsafe.Accounts can be hacked and viruses can cause links to be sent from an apparent known source, giving children a false sense of security when confronted with them. Once they have been clicked itcan either give a hacker access to their account/ computer or send a virus to the userâs device, bothof which are risks to private information. If a child isnât expecting to be sent something from a friend, the link has no accompanying text or thetext seems out of context, make sure they ask the sender what the link leads to and if they meant tosend it; otherwise it is best to avoid clicking on it.Links from unknown sources should always be avoided.3. What to Do If You See Something BadThe internet is host to the good, the bad and the worst. Most of the time users can get where theyneed to go without stumbling up on unpleasant content in the corners of the web. New users mayhowever not be as privvy and could end up seeing something that makes them feel uncomfortable orunsafe. In these instances, it is best to encourage children to be honest about finding this contentand tell a responsible adult. When teaching this to a child it is essential that a tone of support is used, rather than one of judgment. If a child believes they are going to be in trouble for seeing this content they are lesslikely to report it and in turn, keep other negative online experiences a secret.4. Keep Private Information PrivateAlthough it seems like an obvious point, it must be stressed to children that private informationshould remain private. This includes passwords, any financial details, their address, their phonenumber, their school and even their birthday. Anything that can be used to either access accounts orgive strangers leverage to make a connection with a child should be kept out of conversationsonline.5. B eware Of TrollsNot creatures that live under a bridge, but anonymous online users who make it their mission tocause upset and spread negativity, often through commenting. Trolls cannot be avoided on publicplatforms or even on social media platforms, leaving messages of disdain with intent to anger asmany people as possible. Children must be taught to ignore their comments and get an adult toreport the poster.Experiences with trolls can be upsetting, particularly for young children who may not understandthere is no reason behind their actions. Encourage children to speak to a trusted adult when theycome across a troll, discuss the comment and their feelings, reassuring them that these commentsare not real.6. CyberbullyingAs children, the adults of today only had to fear bullies on the playground, whereas childrennowadays have the added fear of being confronted by bullies in the comfort of their own home viathe internet.Cyberbullying has become an international issue and is partially to blame for the rise in mentalhealth issues in the younger generation. This is why it is the job of responsible adults at school andat home to teach the dangers of cyberbullying. There is no need to sugar coat the truth on this matter as it is necessary for the children tounderstand the impact of things said online, and the reach of these comments/ photos/ videos.Children who are being bullied online should be persuaded to report these incidences as soon aspossible and be made aware that they have a safe space to talk about these issues.7. Be Careful of What You Put On the WebLong gone are the days of passing notes around a classroom. Nowadays the first instinct is to puteverything online. What you are eating for breakfast, photos of your dog, where you are at the timeof posting and so on, are all shared to the masses. However, it is a common misconception thatwhen a post or video is deleted, it is gone forever. There is no telling how many times it appearsonline, who saved a copy o r shared it around.Children should be aware of the dangers web content possesses, particularly if it is something thatmay upset someone else. If in doubt, donât post it.Tips for Grown-upsKid Safe Search EnginesThere are a number of kid-safe search engines that can help parents and teachers out with saferbrowsing. Kiddle, developed by Google, will automatically block obscene and mature content fromyoung users. It also has an image search, a kidâs version of Wikipedia, video search and a newfeature. There are a number of child friendly search engines like Kiddle, such as Wacky Safe and KidRex.Airplane ModeAirplane mode will stop children accidently making purchases from mobile devices.
